ASSEMBLY & SELECTION GUIDE

KS-BC-75-3PD540 and KS-BC-75-3PD650 are recorded as 3-pin, 2.5 mm-pitch side-press spring battery connectors. Their plastic housing heights are 5.4 mm and 6.5 mm respectively. The BC-75-3PD series drawing includes both model rows, with A values of 5.4 and 6.5. Choose the exact row before checking the assembly envelope and preparing a document or sample request.
The housing variants share the section geometry used in this BC-75 compression example.
What the catalogue establishes for this comparison
- KS-BC-75-3PD540: 3 pins, 2.5 mm pitch, side-press structure, 5.4 mm plastic housing height; packaging recorded as 800 per reel.
- KS-BC-75-3PD650: 3 pins, 2.5 mm pitch, side-press structure, 6.5 mm plastic housing height; packaging recorded as 700 per reel.
A search for a 3-pin, 2.5 mm side-press battery connector therefore leads to two height candidates here. To decide which candidate merits an assembly review, supply the mating contact positions, mounting reference and available space. A purchasing line that states only "BC-75, 3 pins" leaves the height version unresolved.

Read the series PDF as a model table plus a dimensioned view
Both product records register BC-75-3PD-康生图纸.pdf. The two retrieved copies have identical bytes and contain the same series sheet, so the guide displays it once.

Figure 3. Kangsheng BC-75-3PD series drawing. The BC-75-3PD540 row lists A=5.4; the BC-75-3PD650 row lists A=6.5. Follow the A dimension arrow in the view as well as the model row. 540 documents · 650 documents.
For a document review, record three references together: the exact model row, its A value, and the view containing A's endpoints. Keep the other mounting, solder-tail and locating dimensions associated with their own arrows. Sending only a cropped number removes the information needed to identify which version and datum it describes.
The archived series sheet's REV field is blank. Keep its original filename and the date obtained, and ask for the applicable document in the supplier's response. A download date is not a design revision.
Separate the housing envelope from the side-press operating geometry
The difference between the two listed A values is 1.1 mm. Use that difference when comparing the housing envelope against a common mounting reference in the assembly. Check the room around the connector and the locations of nearby parts for each candidate.
The side-press operating geometry needs a different record: identify the PCB or fixed mounting datum, the mating contact coordinates, the contact surface and the direction of insertion and removal. Relate those project inputs to the selected model's drawing views.
Keep housing height, contact free position, operating position and allowed movement in separate entries. The 1.1 mm housing-height difference is not a lateral compression-travel specification and does not establish a contact-force value. Any sample inspection should use the selected part number and the project's defined measurement and verification conditions.
Pair the shared drawing with the correct STEP file
The registered 3D filenames are 3D_BC-75-3PD540.STEP and 3D_BC-75-3PD650.STEP. Use the file for the height variant listed on the RFQ, even when both folders contain the same series PDF.
A simple document register can contain the complete part number, the series PDF filename, the relevant model row and A value, the STEP filename, and the assembly drawing reference. When a candidate changes from 540 to 650, that register makes it clear which 3D file and housing-envelope check need to change.
This guide uses only the two corresponding product illustrations and the verified series sheet. It adds no application photographs, mounting test results or images from other height variants.
Organize the RFQ around the supplier's required replies
- Candidate and interface: name KS-BC-75-3PD540, KS-BC-75-3PD650, or request a comparison; include the 3-pin interface definition and 2.5 mm-pitch requirement.
- Mechanical review: attach an assembly sketch with mounting references, contact positions, direction of movement and numbered dimensions that need an answer.
- Documents: request the applicable series PDF and matching STEP file; identify the model row and dimension references being discussed.
- Commercial response: state sample quantity, initial order quantity, expected later demand and target date. Ask for packaging, minimum order conditions and lead time as separate items. The 800- and 700-per-reel entries are packaging records.
- Project verification: supply electrical load, environment and planned checks where relevant. The geometry documents do not provide measured contact force, current capability or service-life results for those project conditions.
Keep the supplier's response with the same numbered sketch and document register. This links the part number to its geometry review and quotation without turning a catalogue height into an operating or performance claim.
